There are no laws for or against prostitution or brothels, although apparently the Police arrest prostitutes and hold them for 24 hours, and often demand bribes or sexual favours.

It seems moves are in progress to strengthen the laws regarding abuse of children.

It is reported that Sex workers are subject to a wide range of abuses, including physical violence and murder, but such crimes are rarely investigated by the police, and many go unreported.
