The Law in Sri Lanka
Prostitution is legal in Sri Lanka.
Pimping is illegal.
The Penal Code, as amended in 1995, prohibits anyone from procuring a person with the intent that he or she becomes a prostitute inside or outside the country, regardless of the person’s age or sex and any consent. Punishment for the offense is a fine and imprisonment for 2 to 10 years.
The code also prohibits removing a person from the country for purposes of prostitution, procuring a person for employment in a brothel, and detaining a person without consent in a brothel for purposes of sexual intercourse or sexual abuse.
The code prohibits procuring a person under 16 years of age with the intent that the person enter into the country or leave the country for the purpose of illicit sexual intercourse. Punishment for the offense is imprisonment for 5 to 20 years.

Child care experts in Sri Lanka warned that child prostitution was being promoted to foreigners on the Internet, making it one of the worst countries for child abuse. My First time in Sri Lanka
Having spent a little time in Sri Lanka in 1999, the majority of that time was in and around The Heritence Hotel (Formerly the Triton) which stands alone on a prized expanse of sandy beach at Ahungalla, midway between Bentota and Hikkaduwa, on Sri Lanka's west coast. It set new standards in Sri Lanka by becoming the first five-star hotel outside Colombo. More than 20 years on, its values remain high. This hotel had a section offering massage where a few, shall I say more mature women were giving massage, and the massage was such that it made you want more, relief was offered for an extra ?5.
Although there was plenty of cheap transport around I enjoyed walking to the local villages and you tend to get lots of offers from guides or would be guides to take you to all sorts of places, mostly Spice Gardens where they offered all sorts of potions, some to supposedly increase your lbido.
Having made friends with a couple of these young men, I asked about women for sex and was taken to a building where a older women showed me into a room, where I was joined by a girl in
her twenties, she gave me a massage and we had sex. It was an OK experience but not memorable.
On the next occasion they said they had found just the place I wanted, and myself and a friend were taken to a house on the outskirts of a village.
We were shown into a room and given drinks, then about five girls filed in and we were asked to select. The girl I chose was around 20, with a sweet face, a hint of mischief and a lovely body. She took me into a bedroom and started to remove my clothes, laughing and friendly and before I know it, she has taken me in her mouth. We eventually had sex, which was wonderful and the whole experience was one I will never forget.
We went back to the lounge and had a drink and a chat, and she kept smiling at me and I really wanted her. Unfortunately I was at the end of my holiday and did not nget a chance to revisit,
Sri Lanka is a lovely place and I keep promising myself a re-visit, but so far I haven't had time.
